Management of Chronic Back Pain
We are recruiting people with chronic back pain for a new study. Chronic back pain is a common problem and can be due to a variety of causes. Two types of medications are commonly recommended, NSAIDs such as Aleve and Motrin or narcotics such as Percodan, Percocet, and Vicodin. NSAIDs can cause gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. Narcotics can cause addiction and constipation. Newer and equally effective pain medications may avoid these complications.
