MICHAEL GOLDSTEIN, M.D.

Medical Director and Principal Investigator

Dr. Michael Goldstein is a board certified internist and gastroenterologist. He started LI GI research in 1995, so that his private patients who were not being helped by the then available treatments and medicines would have access to new cutting edge medications for their medical conditions. Since then he has been the principal investigator for over 150 studies in a variety of medical specialties. He has partnered with other medical doctors in other medical specialties who have referred their own patients to participate in the studies. He obtained an MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His subsequent training was at Bellevue Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital and New York Hospital Cornell. He had been Director of Gastroenterology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York for over 30 years and has been Associate Professor of Medicine at New York University College of Medicine.

Site Manager and Patient Placement Specialist

Christine has devoted 15 years to research at LI GI. She specializes in assessing each patient’s complete past medical history and current symptoms that effect their daily lives, so that they may be able to enroll in the ideal study program. She has a true passion for helping people reach a better quality of life through patient clinical trial participation. She started her nursing career as an infertility registered nurse in 1990 for a reproductive endocrinologist in Manhattan, helping patients achieve their family goals.
